Hounds Fall in Overtime Thriller

The Lady Hound's Hosted the Lark's of Hesston this Wednesday night for exciting overtime thriller.

The Hounds came out hot and on fire taking a 7-point lead to end the first quarter with Kintaeja Ling with some big threes to lead the Hounds to an opening first quarter lead. The Larks of Hesston fought back and tied the score at 26 all with 2:07 left in the half. The Larks went into half time up four with the score 30-26.

The Hounds and Larks traded baskets in the 3rd quarter with the score tied at 50 all going into the 4th. The Larks were up by three with 59 seconds to go in the fourth. The Hounds got a huge break when Kennedy Moss completed her and one tying the score at 66. The Hounds took the lead up by three with 3 seconds left on the clock. The Larks called a timeout and advanced the ball to half court.

Larks Corbin Parnell got the ball with 1 second left on the clock and banked in a three to tie the game and send it into overtime.

The Hounds put up a great fight in overtime but the Larks edged the Hounds by a score of 87-80.

The players of the game were Kennedy Moss with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assist. Kintaeja Ling had a huge game going 5-9 from behind the arc finishing with 21 points. Jayla Bibbs continued her double -double brigade with 15 points and 18 rebounds.

The Hounds will travel to Kansas City to take on the Blue Devils this Saturday tip off at 2:00.
