Hounds Earn First in Pitt

Fort Scott Men's and Women's Track Teams headed just 30 miles south to Pittsburg State University for the NAIA/JUCO Challenge. There were 18 schools who competed on the Men's and Women's side. The competition hailed from Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.

 

The Fort Scott Track Team had three school records recorded with three more athletes punching their ticket to Nationals. There were 17 Personal Records that were broken at the meet as well.  

 

The Men's and Women's Teams both won the meet with 105 points on the women's side and 96 points on the men.  The top three for the Women's side were Central Methodist in second with 70.5 points and Oklahoma City in third with 65 points. The Men's rounded out with SAGU in second with 58 points and Central Methodist with 52 points.

 

The KJCCC were represented with Coffeyville, Allen and Pratt in attendance.

 

The Hounds next meet will be Friday at Kansas University and Saturday at Pittsburg State.
