Coach Matt Glover was previously a member of the MSU Denver Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff as an assistant in August 2022. His impactful contribution to the Roadrunners was immediately evident as he played a key role in rebuilding the roster for the 2022-23 season.

Before his tenure at MSU Denver, Glover was the lead assistant and recruiting coordinator at CSU-Pueblo for three seasons. During his time there, the ThunderWolves saw significant academic and athletic success, with two players earning Academic All-RMAC first team honors and one player being named to the All-RMAC second team.

Glover's coaching career also includes a stint as a graduate assistant at Regis University in the 2018-19 season, where he contributed to the development of two All-RMAC first team players. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at Sheridan College (Wyoming) during the 2017-18 season. At Sheridan, he helped produce five Division I and six Division II players.

In addition to his coaching achievements, Glover holds a master’s degree in communication and leadership from Regis University.

Glover's basketball journey began on the court as a player. He played professionally for two seasons internationally in Georgia and Mexico. His collegiate playing career included a season at Sheridan College, followed by a season at Penn State, and he concluded his playing career at Division I University of San Francisco. As a two-year starter for the Dons, he averaged 6.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while leading the team in assists for both seasons. In his senior year (2014-15), he led the team in steals and was second in rebounds, narrowly missing the distinction of being the first player in program history to lead the team in assists, steals, and rebounds in the same season. Additionally, he played in 32 games, starting 21, during his time at Penn State in the 2011-12 season.

Glover's basketball roots trace back to Tustin High School in California, where he earned first team All-Empire League and All-Orange County honors, along with second team All-CIF accolades. His extensive experience as a player and coach has equipped him with a wealth of knowledge and expertise, making him a valuable asset to the Fort Scott Community College basketball program.

Off the court, Glover is a dedicated family man. He is married to his wife, Katelyn, who played collegiate volleyball at Sheridan College and Winston Salem State (HBCU). They have two daughters, Jett (2 years old) and Sloane (1 year old).
