Fort Scott traveled to Coffeyville Community College to face the Red Ravens for the season opener. Tip off was set for 7:30.

The Ravens started off hot with a couple of threes and great defensive plays. Cris Carroll led the way for the Ravens with 29 points and shot an impressive 5-8 from the three-point line. The Hounds hung tough for the first 10 minutes with Davion Sargent hitting tough shots in the lane.

The Ravens pushed the lead to 21 at half with CJ Smith and Carroll leading the way. The Hounds had big contributions from Nickson Bess and Deneymh Smith off the bench.

The Ravens stayed hot in the second half shotting 46% from the field ad 80% from the fee the line. The Hounds finished shooting 35% and 64% from charity stripe.   The Hounds were out rebounded by 18 and the turnovers fort FSCC caused the Ravens to get some open looks.

Coffeyville ended up winning the game 91-61 over FSCC.

The players of the game for the Hounds were, Davion Sargent finishing with 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 block. Dennis Kadric chipped in with 10 points and 4 rebounds. Nickson Bess helped the cause with 9 points and 4 boards.
