Hounds top Scotties

Hounds top Scotties

On Saturday the FSCC Greyhounds avenged a loss to Highland earlier in the year by defeating the Scotties at home 81-73.

In the first match-up at Highland, the Hounds led by as many as 15 but saw the lead fade away in the end.  This time around, the Hounds were able to pull away from the Scotties for good. The Hounds used a balanced attack to take it to the Scotties, with 4 players in double-figures (Shaheed Muhammad- 14, Nick Lawrence - 17, Peter Simon - 15, Donovynn Lewis - 13).  Travis Bullock also added 9 for the Hounds, including a thunderous dunk over two Scottie defenders that brought the Arnold Arena Crowd to their feet.

The Hounds shot 52% from the field for the game, including 54% from 3-point range on 13/24 shooting.  Highland also had 4 players in double-figures (Milton - 10, Knight - 12, McGaskey - 18, Smith - 13).

The win moves the Hounds to 4-4 in Jayhawk Conference play and 14-10 overall.  The Hounds will travel to Johnson County on Monday before returning home to face the Neosho County Panthers on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
