MBB Moves to 8-5

The Fort Scott Community College men's basketball team defeated the St. Mary's University JV squad by the score of  73-52.  The win moved the Hounds overall record to 8-5.  

Leading the way for FSCC was freshman Jainaz Cameron who scored 13 points and collected 8 rebounds.  Fort Scott native Nick Lawrence led the Hounds in assists with 3.  FSCC shot 50% from the field and outrebounded the Spires 46-39.  

FSCC led 32-26 after a closely contested first half.  Cameron, from Lima, OH was a physical presence down low, collecting offensive rebounds and blocking multiple Spire attempts.  Mo Grayer, Springfield, MO, came off the bench to deliver a defensive spark, forcing three St. Mary turnovers in the first half.

The second half was all Hounds, as they ran away by the score of 41-26.  The Spires were led by Chadwick, who scored 15 points on the night.     

The Hounds will be at home again this Saturday against Link Year Prep at 4pm before traveling to Dallas to face North Lake on the 9th, rounding out their first semester.
