First Half Dooms FSCC in Loss at Highland

The Fort Scott Community College men's basketball team wrapped up the conference double header on Wednesday night with a 91-66 loss at Highland.

The first half was big for Highland as they outscored the Greyhounds 45-24. Fort Scott played almost even basketball in the second half but the first doomed the Hounds as they lost their second straight game after and eight game winning streak.

The Greyhounds shot the ball well from the floor as they hit 55% of its shots overall including six from three point range. Highland was lighting it up from three point range as the Scotties hit 15 of 28 from behind the arc.

John Montgomery led FSCC with 18 points. Tyler Zinn and George Brocato also finished the game in double figures with 16 and 11 points respectively.

The Scotties posted four starters in double figures led by Holden Redparth who posted a game high 28 points along with nine rebounds.

The Greyhounds fall to 17-8 overall, 2-2 in conference play and will host Hesston on Saturday at Arnold Arena. They'll follow the women's game with the tip-off scheduled for 4:00.
