Men's Basketball Downs Park University JV 106-71

The Fort Scott Community College Men's basketball team picked up a quick start on Monday night at Arnold Arena and wouldn't look back in a 106-71 victory over Park University JV.

It's the first time that the FSCC men have scored over 100 points since February 22nd, 2016 and it's the most points since 2007.

The defense piled up 13 steals in the ball game as the full court press was a problem for Park University and the length and speed of FSCC proved to be a match up nightmare.

Leading the way for the Greyhounds (3-3) was Tyler Zinn who led the defensive effort with five steals while also leading the team with 31 points on 10 of 16 shooting and eight of 13 from three point range. 31 points by Zinn was a career high and is the first Greyhound to score at least 30 in a game since early last season.

Three other starters scored in double figures as Andre Nelson scored 24 points while Dontrell Sanders and Marshawn Williams scored 14 and 13 points respectively. Sanders picked up a near double-double grabbing a team high nine rebounds.

The men's basketball team is back in action this weekend at Arnold Arena as part of the Gladbach Classic with the first game on Friday night against Bacone JV starting at 8:00.
