Fort Scott Greyhounds competed at the Region VI/KJCCC East Championships this morning in Hutchinson, KS.

Women finished 4th in KJCCC East & 9th in Region VI. Our scorers included; Chrystal Osakwe, Alisha Doris, Jacquelin Angel-Ruiz, Aliyaha Heron. "It wasn't our best meet of the year, we will reevaluate and put this behind us. We have a great opportunity to bounce back at nationals in two weeks."

Men finished 4th in KJCCC East & 6th in Region VI. Our scorers included; Devon Simmons, Samuel Navarro, Giovanni Silva, Ber'Narjay Jackson, Alex Jaje. Devon Simmons was All KJCCC East, as he finished 7th with a time of 25:59. "Our men haven't ran a complete team all year due to injuries/illnesses. To come together the way they did was exciting. Devon Simmons and Ber'Narjay Jackson having breakout races when it mattered will gave us a boost we need going into nationals."

Greyhounds will compete next at the NJCAA D1 XC National Championships in Tallahassee, FL on November 12th.
