FORT SCOTT, Kan. (Mar. 5, 2024) - The Fort Scott Community College softball team split the weekend series with NOC-Tonkawa. The Lady Hounds are 8-8 on the season after winning a game against the division-1 opponent from Oklahoma.


During game one, FSCC scored 15 runs, which is the third most they have scored this season. Halle Hance, Marisela Landa, Julia Paisley, Grace Pingel (2), Avery Ragsdale (3), Natalia Sewell, and Caroline Wilhelm (3) accounted for the 15 runs, while Caroline Wilhelm and Marisela Landa both had home runs. Maddy Cole took her second victory on the mound after not allowing an earned run while only allowing three hits. The Lady Hounds were defeated during the second game 13-16.


The Lady Hounds will return to the mound on Saturday, March 9th, as they face Eastern Oklahoma State College at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, with both games being played at EOSC.
