Greyhound Softball Sweeps Season Opener

The Fort Scott Community College softball team opened the 2018 season with a two game sweep at North Arkansas College.

The Greyhounds (2-0) had no problem in either game winning 9-0 in game one and 18-2 in game two.

In the first game, Greyhound pitching allowed just three hits while North Arkansas College committed five errors in the game.

The nine Greyhound runs were produced on 14 hits led by Hayley Bledsoe as she went 3 for 3, two doubles with two RBI's. Seven of the nine hits were extra base with six doubles and one triple tallied by Shelby Choate.

Nine total players for FSCC tallied at least one hit in the game.

In the second game, The Hounds left no doubt as they scored 15 runs between the second and fourth innings and tallied 20 hits in the game.

Choate led the way with a 4 for 5 day at the plate with 4 RBI's. Eight of the 20 hits went for extra bases. 

North Arkansas College had two hits, two runs and five errors in the game.
