Hounds Ride Well In Colby

The Hounds Rodeo Team went to Colby Kansas this past weekend where 450 contestants from 26 Kansas and Oklahoma colleges competed in the annual Colby Community College National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Rodeo Sept. 16, 17, and 18 in the E.L. Garrett Arena at the Thomas County Fairgrounds.

The Hounds finished 4th on the Men's Side. The 1st place leader on Barback Riding was Quintonn Lunsford and in second place was Bryce Eck. In saddle Bronc Riding Blake Steuck finished with a 4th place finish. Team roping Kobey Miller placed 3rd in the Event. Austin Manley finished with a 2nd place finish in Bull Riding. Overall, the Team had a great weekend for their first competition of the year.

The Hounds are back in Action on October 8th for the Alumni Rodeo!
