#21 Greyhound Run Well at Nationals, Tratnyek Earns All-American Honors

Albuquerque, NM., (Nov. 9, 2019)- The Men's team raced at the NJCAA National Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico hosted by the University of New Mexico this past Saturday. The race took place at the University of New Mexico North Golf Course and was located at 5300 ft elevation.

The Men placed ahead of their current ranking of #21 finishing #19th in the nation out of 45 teams. 

Leading the way for the Greyhounds was Derek Tratnyek navigating the course in 25:54. Tratnyek placed 37th in the country earning him Coaches Association All-American Honors.

Behind Tratnyek was Raymond Longoria running a new personal best in 26:33. Reece Watson was 3rd for the team running 27:08. Albert Maliko ran a 28:04 while Brendan Mack finished out the scoring running the course in 29:24.

The NJCAA National Championship mark the end of Cross Country season. The next competition will begin next January as the Track & Field season starts up.
