We would like to welcome back Blake Cochran to the Fort as the new men's Head Basketball Coach. Cochran was an Assistant Coach at FSCC from 2017 to 2018 where the Greyhounds had the first 20-win season in 25+ seasons with a KJCCC Semi-Final Appearance. Academically, FSCC had the highest GPA in school history with 2 Academic All-Americans.
Coach Cochran says this about coming back home to the Fort:
"I am more than ecstatic to return to the FSCC family, I love Fort Scott and couldn't be more excited to be back. I want to first and foremost thank Luke Demko and Tom Havron for this opportunity, the Greyhounds are in great hands, and I am grateful to be working with them. Michael Cook has done some amazing things at FSCC and has put the Greyhound program on the map. I wouldn't be here without my wife Baylee, who is the most supportive person I've ever met and someone that is just as big of a team individual as me. To the alumni, future, and current players we are going to win on and off the court in every aspect and I can't wait for this journey with you guys. This is a team effort between them and the individuals in the community. Go Hounds!"
Athletic Director Luke Demko Says this about Coach Cochran:
"Blake is back where he belongs, He loves the city of Fort Scott and the college. Blake has passion for winning and bringing in the right student athletes that will represent the school and this community well. I am excited to see Blake build on his time here and keep blossoming into one of the best young coaches around".
