The FSCC Softball program has made history with back-to-back 30-win seasons

FORT SCOTT, Kan. (Apr. 29, 2024)— The Fort Scott Community College Softball program has won back-to-back 30-win seasons for the first time in school history. The Lady Hounds have achieved this mark after an eight-game winning streak to end the month of April. During this span, sophomore pitcher Maddy Cole has etched her name in the record books, becoming the all-time leader in career wins with 28. She surpassed Brittany Washington's record of 27 wins set during the 2009-2010 season. Another standout is sophomore shortstop Julia Paisley, who has a new record for most doubles in a season with 20. As a team, they set the record for most home runs in a season with 53, surpassing the previous mark of 47 set by the 2009 team.

Over the weekend, the Lady Hounds demonstrated their unity and strength by sweeping Cowley College, a team near the top of the standings. This victory not only placed the Lady Hounds in a favorable position but also showcased their collective faith and determination before they enter the last week of the regular season.
