Game 1

In the top of the seventh inning, Cloud County T-Birds Softball tied things up at five.  Cloud County T-Birds Softball scored one run when Jayden Rehlander singled. Putting the T-Birds up 6-5 over the Hounds. 

Fort Scott Community College notched three runs in the fifth inning.  Olivia Morris and Katie Thompson all drove in runs in the frame. Cloud County T-Birds Softball scored three runs in the seventh inning.  The offensive firepower by Cloud County T-Birds Softball was led by Mckenna Mayhew and Rehlander, all driving in runs in the inning.

Dekok was the winning pitcher for Cloud County T-Birds Softball. The hurler surrendered five runs on eight hits over nine innings. Jenni Jennings took the loss for Fort Scott Community College. The pitcher lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and one run while walking zero. Maddy Cole started the game for Fort Scott Community College. The righty lasted six and a third innings, allowing ten hits and five runs while striking out one.

Ally Bartley led Fort Scott Community College with two hits in four at bats.  Fort Scott Community College stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Halle Hance led the way with two. Cloud County T-Birds Softball collected 13 hits on the day.  Hannah Hotalen, Mayhew, Ryleigh Jones, and Rehlander each racked up multiple hits for Cloud County T-Birds Softball.

 

Game 2 

Fort Scott Community College nabbed the lead late in the game in a 10-6 victory over Cloud County T-Birds Softball on Wednesday.  The game was tied at five with Fort Scott Community College batting in the bottom of the fifth when Olivia Morris singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Fort Scott Community College collected 12 hits and Cloud County T-Birds Softball had nine. Fort Scott Community College opened up an early lead in the second inning when Halle Hance doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Cloud County T-Birds Softball scored three runs in the second inning.  Cloud County T-Birds Softball scored its runs on a home run by Zoie Kincade.

Jenni Jennings led things off on the rubber for Fort Scott Community College. The pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, walking one. Kiera Brack toed the rubber for Cloud County T-Birds Softball. The hurler allowed 12 hits and ten runs over six innings, walking one.

Cloud County T-Birds Softball mashed two home runs on the day. Taylor Dekok had a homer in the third inning. Kincade went deep in the second inning.

Fort Scott Community College totaled 12 hits in the game.  Hance, Katie Thompson, Morris, and Paiten Reavis each had multiple hits for Fort Scott Community College.  Hance went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Fort Scott Community College in hits.  Fort Scott Community College stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Hance led the way with two.

Cloud County T-Birds Softball saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game.  Brooklynn McCormick and Jayden Rehlander all managed multiple hits for Cloud County T-Birds Softball.

The Hounds are now 28-11 Overall and 11-5 in conference sitting in 4th place.
