Game 1 Recap

A 5-Hit Day for Reavis Leads Fort Scott Community College Past Allen CC Red Devils.

Paiten Reavis was in the zone on Thursday, tallying five hits and leading Fort Scott Community College to a 13-4 win over Allen CC Red Devils.  Reavis singled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, doubled in the sixth, and tripled in the seventh. Fort Scott Community College earned the victory despite allowing Allen CC Red Devils to score three runs in the second inning.  Allen CC Red Devils' big inning was driven by doubles by Lacey Stamper, Madisyn Havenstein, and Haley Gedrose.

Allen CC Red Devils opened up scoring in the second inning.  Allen CC Red Devils scored one run when Stamper doubled.

Fort Scott Community College pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning.  In the third Julia Paisley singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Kennedi Christian drew a walk, scoring one run, Julia Hess doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, Ally Bartley singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Olivia Morris singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Maddy Cole took the win for Fort Scott Community College. Cole allowed 11 hits and four runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.  Jenni Jennings threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.Brooklyn Ellis took the loss for Allen CC Red Devils. The righty went three innings, allowing nine runs on eight hits.

Fort Scott Community College had 16 hits in the game.  Reavis, Paisley, Bartley, and Hess each had multiple hits for Fort Scott Community College.  Reavis led Fort Scott Community College with five hits in five at bats.

Fort Scott Community College Beats Allen CC Red Devils in Low-Scoring Affair.

Both teams were strong in the pitcher's circle Thursday, but Fort Scott Community College defeated Allen CC Red Devils 2-1. Jenni Jennings allowed just seven hits to Allen CC Red Devils. Fort Scott Community College fired up the offense in the second inning.  Olivia Morris singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Jennings pitched Fort Scott Community College to victory. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing one run on seven hits and striking out five. Skyler Jackson was in the circle for Allen CC Red Devils. The pitcher allowed seven hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking one.

Kennedi Christian led Fort Scott Community College with two hits in four at bats. Bailey Cravens went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Allen CC Red Devils in hits.

The Hounds are now 21-6 overall and 4-0 in conference. The Hounds will be back in action on Tuesday the 11th as the head up the road to Johnson County Community college for a 2 game matchup.
