Game 1 Recap

Fort Scott Community College Defeats OKWU JV in Pitcher's Duel. The Hounds won on small ball tactics with taking extra bases and perfectly timed hits. 

Both teams were strong on the rubber Wednesday, but Fort Scott Community College defeated OKWU JV 3-1. Maddy Cole allowed just four hits to OKWU JV.

Cole earned the win for Fort Scott Community College. The righty went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out four and walking one.

Gabeau took the loss for OKWU JV. The bulldog surrendered three runs on one hit over five innings, striking out six.

Game 2 Recap

Fort Scott Community College Blows Out Oklahoma Wesleyan University JV.

Fort Scott Community College cruised to an easy victory over OKWU JV 11-3 on Wednesday. OKWU JV got things started in the first inning.  Donahs drove in two when Donahs homered.

Fort Scott Community College evened things up at two in the bottom of the first inning.  Ivory Rightnar drew a walk, scoring one run. Fort Scott Community College pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning.  In the second Saedra Allen was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Julia Hess was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Olivia Morris lined out, driving in a run, and Ally Bartley singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Jenni Jennings pitched Fort Scott Community College to victory. Jennings surrendered three runs on four hits over five innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Billings led things off in the circle for OKWU JV. The bulldog allowed two hits and seven runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one.  Tatt and Withem entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.

Fort Scott is now 17-6 on the season and will start conference play this Sunday at 1:00 and 3:00 as the take on Highland Community College.
