Fort Scott Community College Clinches Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Metropolitan community college.

Fort Scott Community College nabbed the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over Metropolitan community college on Monday.  The game was tied at one with Fort Scott Community College batting in the top of the sixth when Jenni Jennings doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs. The pitching was strong on both sides. Maddy Cole struck out two, while Kasey Kilburn sat down seven.

Cole pitched Fort Scott Community College to victory. Cole surrendered one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking one.

Kilburn took the loss for Metropolitan community college. The lefthander lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking one.

Fort Scott Community College racked up seven hits.  Julia Paisley and Halle Hance all managed multiple hits for Fort Scott Community College.  Hance and Paisley all had two hits to lead Fort Scott Community College.

Fort Scott Community College Defeats Metropolitan community college, 6-3.

Fort Scott Community College wins contest against Metropolitan community college on Monday, 6-3. Metropolitan community college got things started in the first inning when Kyra Mcintosh homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Fort Scott Community College pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Julia Paisley homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Olivia Morris singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and Katie Thompson doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Maddy Cole toed the rubber for Fort Scott Community College. Cole allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking zero. Avery Prather started the game for Metropolitan community college. The righthander allowed six hits and five runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.  Avery Howard threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Fort Scott Community College hit one home run on the day. Paisley had a long ball in the fourth inning. Fort Scott Community College totaled nine hits.  Paisley, Morris, and Julia Hess each racked up multiple hits for Fort Scott Community College.  Hess, Morris, and Paisley each collected two hits to lead Fort Scott Community College.

The Hounds are now 13-6 headed to Ottawa JV on Thursday.
