Game 1 Recap

Fort Scott Community College clinches the lead in fifth Inning to defeat Barton Community College Cougars. 

Fort Scott Community College stole the lead late and defeated Barton Community College Cougars   5-4 on Monday.  The game was tied at four with Fort Scott Community College batting in the bottom of the fifth when Saedra Allen singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Barton Community College Cougars   scored three runs in the first inning, but Fort Scott Community College still managed to pull out the victory.  Barton Community College Cougars scored its runs on a home run by Calli McConnell.

In the first inning, Barton Community College Cougars   got their offense started when McConnell homered on a 2-1 count, scoring three runs.

Brittany Winchester led the Fort Scott Community College to victory in the circle. The righthander surrendered zero runs on three hits over five innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Jenna Henderson took the loss for Barton Community College Cougars. The lefty allowed six hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.

Maddy Cole started the game for Fort Scott Community College. The righty allowed five hits and four runs over two innings, striking out one and walking zero

Fort Scott Community College had seven hits in the game.  Julia Paisley and Allen each racked up multiple hits for Fort Scott Community College.  Allen and Paisley each managed two hits to lead Fort Scott Community College.

Game 2 Recap

Early lead for Fort Scott Community College sets stage for victory over Barton Community College Cougars.

An early lead helped Fort Scott Community College defeat Barton Community College Cougars   8-4 on Monday.  Fort Scott Community College scored on a single by Saedra Allen in the first inning, a home run by Kennedi Christian in the second inning, and a single by Julia Paisley in the second inning.

In the bottom of the first inning, Fort Scott Community College tied things up at one when Allen singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Fort Scott Community College pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning.  In the second Christian homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs and Paisley singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Jenni Jennings was the winning pitcher for Fort Scott Community College. The pitcher surrendered four runs on five hits over four and a third innings, striking out two.  Brittany Winchester threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jessica Morgan took the loss for Barton Community College Cougars. The righty surrendered four runs on three hits over four innings, striking out three.

Kayla Beers started the game for Barton Community College Cougars. The pitcher allowed four hits and four runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one.

Fort Scott Community College tallied one home run on the day. Christian put one out in the second inning.

Allen went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Fort Scott Community College in hits.  Fort Scott Community College stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Paisley led the way with two.

The Lady Hounds will be back in action on Wednesday the 15th vs Southwestern Community College.
