Katie Thompson's Walk-off Picture-Perfect Ending in Fort Scott Community College's Victory Over Kirkwood Community College

Fort Scott Community College seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off double at the end of the game to topple Kirkwood Community College.  The game was tied at one with Fort Scott Community College batting in the bottom of the seventh when Katie Thompson doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Maddy Cole struck out four, while Kara Maiers sat down four.

Kirkwood Community College evened things up at one in the top of the fifth inning when Cheisea Buck hit a solo homer.

Cole took the win for Fort Scott Community College. The righthander allowed one hit and one run over seven innings, striking out four.

Saedra Allen, Katie Thompson, and Julia Paisley all had one hit to lead Fort Scott Community College.  Fort Scott Community College didn't commit a single error in the field. Paisley had the most chances in the field with five.

Game 2 Recap

Fort Scott Community College won big over Kirkwood Community College 9-2 on Sunday.

Fort Scott Community College got things started in the second inning when Jenna Sprague induced Brittany Winchester to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Fort Scott Community College put up four runs in the fourth inning.  Fort Scott Community College put the pressure on, led by a home run by Saedra Allen and an error on a ball put in play by Olivia Morris.

Jenni Jennings got the win for Fort Scott Community College. Jennings went four and a third innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out three and walking one.

Winchester started the game for Fort Scott Community College. The righty lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out three

Fort Scott Community College totaled ten hits in the game.  Jennings and Paiten Reavis all collected multiple hits for Fort Scott Community College.  Reavis and Jennings each managed two hits to lead Fort Scott Community College

The Lady Hounds are back in action on Saturday the 25th against rival Neosho County CC at 12:00.
