On January 17, the Hounds basketball team traveled to Hesston, Kansas to play against Hesston College Larks. The Men's basketball team is currently on a 5-game winning streak as well being one of the top two teams in the conference with a 2-0 record. The Hounds are now 14-4 overall.

Your top two players of the game were number 2-Davion Sargent with 27 points as well with 11-12 free throws, and 12-Denis Kadric with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Not only did the Hounds hold the Larks to 30% shooting but our bench scored 34 points vs Hesston's 16. The Hounds led the entire first half on 37% shooting from the field. The Hounds were up 34-21 at the break. The Hounds statrted the second half the same way they left the first on some hot shooting from Sargentt who was draining step back threes and finished 2-2 from three and 7-13 overall. The Hounds bench played a huge role in the win with 34 points coming from the reserves.
