Hounds Are Now 12-4

The Hounds brought their two-game win streak to Jefferson College last Saturday night coming off momentum from a huge win against powerhouse Northern Oklahoma College- Tonkawa.  The Hounds were 11-4 coming in to the game and the Vikings were 6-7 coming in to the contest.

The Hounds got down big to start the game, the Vikings were connecting on threes lead by Nico Bateman who was 3-4 from distance. The Vikings shot 50% from the three-point line on the night. The Hounds were down 21-8 but crept back with steady play from BJ Francis who was 10-13 from the field and ended the contest with 25 points and 5 assists. The Hounds brought it back even with 2 minutes to go in the half.

The Vikings kept the on slot of threes going and ended up leading at halftime 49-43.

FSCC came out on fire in the second half with big buckets from Andre Norris who finished the game with 14 points,3 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists and Nickson Bess with a double- double with 13 points and 10 boards.

The Hounds came back with some solid defense and held the Vikings to just 35 points in the second half.

The game was nail bitter and went back and forth and both teams put on a show shooting above 45% for the game.

Fort Scott got the edge over Jefferson College 88-84 and put the Hounds at 12-4 on the season. That was the last warm up game before Conference Foe Labette County come to Arnold on Saturday January 13th tip off is at 4:00 we hope to see you there.
