Hounds are Now 10-4

What a night at Arnold Arena. The Men's Basketball put on a show in one of the most exciting games of the year. The North Oklahoma College Mavericks came to town and the Hounds were up for the challenge.  The Mavericks have played a tough schedule only losing to Midland and Indian hills by 5 points who are both nationally ranked in the top 20 in division one Junior College.

The Hound's started off strong with big plays by Denymh Smith and BJ Francis. The Hounds were up 25-19 with 8 minutes to go in the half, but the Mavericks went on strong run and ended up leading at the half 35-37.

The Hounds came out with a sense of urgency in the second half executing Coach Cochran's game plan to a T. The Mavericks and Hounds traded blows back and forth with 8 minute to go in the half the score was all tied up 64-64.  The Hounds then had a big and one play with Davion Sargent slashing through the lane putting the Hounds up by three.  The Hounds never looked back and stepped up their ferocious zone defense.  FSCC was victorious beating the Mavericks 88-83.

The players of the game are: Davion Sargent with 23 points 2 steals and 3 rebounds. Denymh Smith finished with 19 points, 2 assists, 4 steals and rebounds. Nickson Bess finished with a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

This puts FSCC at 10-4 with one game remaining before the Christmas break. The Hounds will take on Shorter College on December 14th at 2:00.
