Hounds Make It A Record Breaking Night

FSCC Basketball #1 Scoring Offense in the Country (6 wins in a row)

 

Hounds Men's Basketball increased their winning streak to six games during a three-game home stand in Arnold Arena. The Hounds broke the all-time scoring record in a game on Monday night with a 130-83 victory over Southwestern College. They also grabbed the second most rebounds in a game with 60; that record was broken last year when The Hounds controlled the entire game, winning both halves. Fort Scott was led by sophomore DJ McDonaldwho had 22 points and 10 rebounds. FSCC had a total of seven players scoring in double-digits: Nickson Bess (16), BJ Francis (10), Bryce Journee (10), Denis Kadiric (14), Andre Norris (15), and Camryn Reyes (15).

Over the weekend, the Greyhounds went undefeated, beating Central Christian College 106-44, then beating Kansas Christian College 76-57 the following day. On Friday, FSCC had seven players in double figures: Nickson Bess (10), Denis Kadiric (17), Derrick McDonald (11), Clayton Mosburg (12), Andre Norris (11), Camryn Reyes (12), and Denymh Smith (17). They shot a season-high 65% from the field before Saturday. On Saturday against KCC, the Hounds had three players with double-doubles:

  • Nickson Bess had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Denis Kadiric led the team with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Andre Norris totaled 10 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. 

 

The Hounds are number one in the country in total points and 19-1 in their past 20 home games. FSCC have scored 628 points this season in their first seven games.

 

The Hounds are back in action this weekend, playing in the Pioneer Classic at North Arkansas College. FSCC will play ASU-Newport on Friday at 5:30 p.m., then Saturday against North Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. Their next home game is Monday, November 20th, against Baptist Bible College at 7:00 p.m.
