Nelson and Jordan Earn All-Conference Nods

 

The postseason honors came in for the Fort Scott men's basketball team after their season came to an end in the semi-finals of the Region XI playoffs. While the season did not end how Head Coach Michael Cook wanted it to, Coach Cook was pleased to announce that sophomore Andre Nelson and freshman Craig Jordan were both named to Second Team All-Conference and All Region. 

Nelson capped his Greyhound career by scoring 701 points in two seasons and finished his sophomore year averaging 11 points per game on 45.3% shooting from the field and 38% from the three point line. Nelson was  second in the conference in rebounding with 7.3 a game and eleventh in scoring with 11 per game.  Nelson finishes his career second all-time in school history in career rebounds and seventh all-time in school history in career points and seventh all-time in school history in assists also

Jordan had a stellar freshman season for the Greyhounds averaging 12.8 points per game which ranked him seventh in scoring in the conference and fourth in rebounds in conference averaging 6.6 a game and fourth in conference with field goal percentage with 56.6%.

With two All-Region and All Conference players this season Coach Cook now has 15 All-Conference and 13 All-Region players during his 11 years a Head Coach.
