Dawson Cantwell is entering his first season coaching for the Greyhounds. He serves as the assistant pitching coach for the Greyhounds while assisting with academics and recruiting. Coach Cantwell played at Fort Scott from 2017-2020 as a left-handed pitcher, and is in the record book with the fourth best career ERA in greyhound baseball history.
After graduating from Fort Scott, Cantwell accepted a scholarship to pitch at West Texas A&M University, where he attended for three years. He is currently working on a master's degree in Sport and Exercise Science with an emphasis on Sport Management through West Texas A&M.
Coach Cantwell is a native of Shawnee, KS and went to Mill Valley High School, where he achieved all-state accolades and led the Jaguars to an EKL championship during his senior season.
