Hounds No Hit Evangel.

           Brayden Leathers induced a groundout from #4 to get the last out of the game, as three pitchers teamed up to a throw a no-hitter in Fort Scott 20-0 defeat of Evangel on Thursday.

Adam Rellihan led the Greyhounds to victory by driving in five runs. He went 3-for-3 at the plate. Rellihan drove in runs on a walk in the second, a grand slam in the third, and a single in the fourth.

In the first inning, Fort Scott got their offense started when Andruw McKenzie singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. The Greyhounds tallied eight runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by singles by McKenzie, Rellihan, and Brendan Roop, a home run by Hampton Hall, and by Grant Goldston.

Shane Scott led the Fort Scott to victory on the pitcher's mound. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out five and walking zero. Leathers and Matt Duley entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Leathers recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Hounds.

#36 took the loss for Evangel. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking zero. #10 started the game for Evangel. He allowed seven hits and ten runs over two innings, striking out two

Fort Scott smacked two home runs on the day. Hall had a homer in the fourth inning. Rellihan had a four bagger in the third inning. The Greyhounds collected 18 hits. McKenzie, Hall, Rellihan, Jeff Vance, Andrew Paulsey, and Roop all collected multiple hits for Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds Varsity. Vance, Rellihan, Hall, and McKenzie each collected three hits to lead the Greyhounds. Fort Scott was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Vance made the most plays with nine.
