Free Bases Hurt The Hounds.

Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds fell 15-4 to Cloud County on Wednesday despite four RBIs from Hampton Hall. Hall drove in runs on a double in the first and a home run in the fifth. The Greyhounds lost despite out-hitting Cloud County ten to eight. The Greyhounds got things moving in the first inning, when Hall doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. 

Cloud County pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second #1 drew a walk, scoring one run and Lornanger grounded out, scoring one run. The Hounds put up three runs in the fifth inning. Hall had an RBI home run in the inning to lead the run scoring. Cloud County scored nine runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Cloud County came thanks to walks by #6 and #7, an error on a ball put in play by Lornanger and Dieter, a triple by #1, a single by #5, and by #25. #23 led things off on the mound for Cloud County. He surrendered one run on five hits over three innings, striking out five.

Jacob Hanns toed the rubber for Fort Scott. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out six. Raine Richter, Zacc Whisler, and Hunter Little each contributed in relief. The Greyhounds tallied one home run on the day. Hall had a long ball in the fifth inning. Fort Scott tallied ten hits in the game. Hall and Keegan Sueltz each racked up multiple hits for the Hounds. Hall went 3-for-3 at the plate. in hits.

Cloud County totaled eight hits. #2 and Dieter each collected multiple hits for Cloud County. #6 led Cloud County with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases. Cloud County didn't commit a single error in the field. #30 had the most chances in the field with seven.
