Walk Off Wins It!

  • Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds took Wednesday's game in dramatic fashion, with an 11-10 walk-off victory over Cloud County. The game was tied at ten with the Greyhounds batting in the bottom of the seventh when Hampton Hall hit a solo homer.
  • The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. The Greyhounds collected nine hits and Cloud County had 12.
  • In the first inning, the Hounds got their offense started when Andruw McKenzie hit a solo homer.
  • The Greyhounds tallied six runs in the sixth inning. The Hounds big inning was driven by a home run by Hall and a double by Robbie Merced.
  • Cloud County scored four runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Cloud County was led by Lardson, #wallace, and Dieter, all driving in runs in the inning.
  • Bo Dallas took the win for the Hounds. He surrendered three runs on four hits over one inning, striking out two and walking zero. Michael Barnes and Bailey Cantu entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
  • Peters took the loss for Cloud County. He lasted one inning, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out two and walking zero.
  • Wyatt Folsom started the game for the Greyhounds. He allowed five hits and five runs over three innings, striking out four Siedel started the game for Cloud County. He went five innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out nine and walking zero
  • The Greyhounds tallied five home runs on the day. Grant Goldston had a long ball in the first and third innings. Hall went yard in the sixth and seventh innings. McKenzie went for the long ball in the first inning.
  • The Greyhounds racked up nine hits on the day.  Hall and Goldston all managed multiple hits for Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds.  Goldston and Hall each collected two hits to lead Hounds.
  • Cloud County scattered 12 hits in the game.  Lardson, Dieter, and Pratt all collected multiple hits for Cloud County. Cloud County was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Lardson had the most chances in the field with 11.
