Baseball Sweeps North Central

Greyhound Baseball took on North Central Community College on Sunday, February 11th and Monday, February 12th.

On Sunday, the Greyhound defeated North Central with the scores of 15-5 and 11-1.  In game one, Wyatt Folsom pitched all five innings for the Greyhounds.  He gave up six hits and five runs on the day.  Sophomore Ben McConnell put up two homeruns, while teammates Quinn Waterbury and Carter Young each had one homerun.  McConnell also led the team in RBI's with four.

In game two, the Hounds were led by Mitch McCallister with three RBI's, folowed by Andrew Morrow, Cole Solomon (2), Sean Moore (2) and Collin Fraley (2).  Solomon also added a homerun for the Hounds.  Pitchers Michael Barnes and Tim Schwoegler made appearances, adding 10 strikeouts between the two of them.

On Monday, the Hounds defeated North Central with scores of 4-0 and 10-0.  Owen Wilson went deep for a homerun while adding two RBI's for the Greyhounds.  Pitcher Treston Rook got the win, only giving up one hit and had 8 strikeouts.  Kobie Schmitt got a save for the game..

In game two Monday, the Greyhounds tallied 18 hits, led by Andrew Morrow with a homerun.  Kiefer added three RBI's, followed by Solomon (2), Wilson, Morrow and Cazarin.  Raine Richter got the win for the Hounds on the mound, with five strikeouts in three innings.
