Opening day is getting closer as today there are just 8 days until the season starts. Today the program honors former Greyhound submarine pitcher Matt Peterson. Peterson is the programs all-time saves leader. Currently Peterson is attending The University of Kansas. Head Coach John Hill III shared his thoughts on Matt Peterson:
"Matt was a joy to coach, he was a smart young man who really knew how to pitch. He really bought into the program especially his academics. I know that Matt will be a success in whatever avenue he chooses, and I am very grateful for having the opportunity to coach him."
