Greyhound Baseball Countdown 25 Days

We feature catcher Andrew Tanous from Katy, Texas in today's countdown to opening day. Tanous wears the number 25, and is currently slated to be the Greyhound catcher on opening day this year. Tanous hit .388 in his freshman year, and threw out 8 of 11 base stealers. Head Coach John Hill III shared his thoughts on Andrew Tanous:

"This will be an exciting season for Andrew. We expect for him to be a rock behind the plate, and to be an important part of our lineup offensively. This year is a great opportunity for him to not only be our number one catcher, but to also to take on more of a leadership role. Andrew is a first class kid, who always gets his work done without me having to worry about him. Again I am very excited to see what he does in the 2016 season.

Greyhound Baseball is set to open the season February 13^th against Cloud County at the LaRoche Complex. Games will begin at 1:00
