Luke Demko is entering his second year at the helm for FSCC Athletics. Luke is from Gilford, New Hampshire where he was a three-sport athlete in baseball, basketball and soccer. Luke attended the University of Rhode Island on a baseball scholarship where he was drafted in the 29th round by the San Francisco Giants. Luke also played for the Wichita Wingnuts and the Newark Bears.

Luke has been instrumental in updates around athletics with new signage and new playing surface and updates for Arnold.  

When Luke's playing days were over, He went on to run a baseball facility called the Alamo Academy in Corpus Christi, Texas. Luke then had a calling for college coaching, he coached at here at Fort Scott Community College and then went on to the University of Rhode Island. While at Fort Scott Luke served as the Recruiting Coordinator and was in charge of fundraising and academics. While there the baseball team was ranked 2nd and 3rd in the country in Team GPA. He held the same position at URI. While working he received my master’s degree from Pittsburg State in Sports Management.

Luke was also in Law Enforcement and was Part of the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. He was on Part of the Training unit where he was a defensive tactic, mental health first aid, firearms and academy instructor. He was also on patrol and was part of the Hostage Negotiation team. He was part of the force for 9 years. 

Luke would like to thank President Johnston, Tom Harvron and the hiring board for the opportunity to come back home to Fort Scott! He would also like to thank his wife for always supporting him through his career. 

Luke will reside in Fort Scott with his wife Kimberly, Daughter Coralen (8) and his son Easton (5).
