The Greyhound Men?s Basketball team will have familiar faces on the 19-20 roster. Yes, there are seven return players from a roster that went 16-16 last season, but there will also be three local players on the team; Jessie Lawrence will be returning for his second season, his brother Nick Lawrence signed his Letter of Intent to attend Fort Scott Community College on the basketball team, and Jesse Jones will also be on the team after transferring back to Fort Scott Community College from playing one year at Bethany University.

All three players will compete for playing time and will be looked upon to make an impact on the team and season. This summer has been crucial in the weight room and conditioning for the entire team as they arrived on campus for classes, team bonding, and workouts at the first of June.

?Right now, I could not be more excited with the way our roster is shaping up. Adding Nick Lawrence and Jesse Jones will not only give us more depth on our roster, but we get a chance to have more community players in our program. Jessie Lawrence had a good freshman year for us, there were some growing pains, but I thought that he did a great job on and off the court for us last year. Nick will come in and work hard and buy into the system and give us more athletic ability at his position, while Jesse Jones will add some more outside shooting and both will bring energy and will compete for playing time and the last thing that I think always helps is that they were coached well and come from our community,? stated Head Coach Michael Cook
