Caleb Tipton Hired as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Coach Caleb Tipton enters his 11th season coaching basketball and joins the Fort Scott Greyhounds for his first season as an assistant coach. 

Coach Tipton attended college at Maine Maritime Academy where he would serve as a student assistant basketball coach from 2014-2018. While at Maine Maritime Academy, Coach Tipton would earn his Bachelors of Science in international business & logistics while also minoring in humanities. Upon graduation, Coach Tipton received the prestigious Phyllis Tenney Award for his outstanding leadership and community service contributions. 

After leaving Maine Maritime Academy, Coach Tipton would serve three years as a boys' varsity basketball assistant coach and head boys freshman basketball coach for the Rams of Bangor, Maine. While in Bangor, Coach Tipton also served as the school's varsity assistant golf coach. 

In January 2023, Coach Tipton received his Masters of Science degree in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University and would graduate with magna cum laude honors. While at SNHU, Coach Tipton was also a member of the schools Diversity, Inclusion, and Leadership Association.

Coach Tipton on coming to the Fort "I would like to thank the school's Athletic Director Luke Demko and Head Coach Jolee Carswell for believing in me, and giving me the opportunity to join the Greyhound Women's Basketball staff. I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Fort Scott community, and I am thrilled for the chance to learn and grow not only as a coach, but as a person throughout this experience."
